Just recently, OpenAI announced that ChatGPT will now also be available in the form of an app for iOS.

The good news is that the app will be free of cost and will offer all the same versions as the one on the web.

There is no denying that ChatGPT has become an important and well-known tool for numerous search marketers, content creators, and SEOs across the globe.

With the launch of the app, it can easily be used anywhere and everywhere and will also maintain a user’s chat history.

The speech recognition system is the one that was introduced by OpenAI, known as Whisper. The only reason why the platform released this system was to enable voice input for its users.

However, things did not go as planned because users reported that there were several issues with this feature in the beginning.

Where the new app is concerned, it will initially be released in the U.S. first and then eventually expand toward other countries in the next couple of weeks.

Moreover, OpenAI has revealed that it will soon be releasing an application for Android users as well in due time.

In other news, Google has now shared additional details related to its new Privacy Sandbox initiative. It has also said that it is planning to deprecate new third-party cookies in its browser.

The tech giant has also offered a tentative timeline for the first time regarding the addition of third-party cookies.

By the time the first quarter of next year rolls around, Google is planning to remove third-party cookies for at least 1% of users first.

This move will allow various developers to first test the effectiveness and readiness of their products without cookies in actual environments.

However, before that, Google will be permitting developers to simulate deprecation in the last quarter of 2023. As a result, they will be able to test for higher traffic by focusing on a set percentage of their users.

This news comes shortly after a couple of delays by the tech giants related to the timeline for the cookie removal. This was first announced in the year 2020, but Google did not follow through on its schedule.

On the other hand, the company revealed that it has been testing for different alternatives. It also assured that it is completely committed to getting rid of third-party cookies.

But the removal of these cookies has proven to be pretty problematic due to people having concerns with transparency and privacy.

Despite the fact that marketers are aware of this upcoming change, numerous have embraced different alternatives to target users digitally.

People believe that having a set schedule is bound to give Google the push it needs to do right by its users and offer them alternatives for third-party cookies.
