LinkedIn Releases A New Feature – DMs For Business Pages

It is no secret that social media conversations are now slowly and steadily moving to the DMs.

This is because people want to move away from posting publicly and letting the world know their business. For this reason, LinkedIn decided to look into building its messaging tools to make them more effective.

It has also invested time and money to ensure that the app is able to better facilitate professional interactions and connections through InMails within it.

Experts believe that this is going to be a significant step for LinkedIn, especially since it just released a new option to allow Company Pages to have conversations with people.

The platform has now made it easier for people to connect with the companies they are applying for or want to be a part of.

Consequently, users will now be able to visit the page of a company on LinkedIn and begin a conversation within the app. The admins of the page can then respond, which will be another effective engagement option.

In an announcement made by the professional platform, it explained that through Pages Messaging, people will be able to have one-on-one conversations with brands.

Previously, these interactions could only be made between one user to another who was looking to inquire about a certain company or find a job.

However, this new feature is going to offer a separate dedicated inbox for messages from business pages to have two-way conversations.

Moreover, companies can prioritize the frequently asked questions that are the most important for them.

It is likely that a large number of people will now be frequently messaging companies to inquire about opportunities. This may require management to have effective controls in place.

On the other hand, LinkedIn has offered the option of a focused inbox process, which will separate the incoming messages based on how important they are.

The platform will separate the page messages depending on the topic settings chosen by the company itself.

Therefore, businesses will not have to do most of the legwork and can have one-on-one conversations with their customers.

In addition, companies have also been provided with the option to turn off messaging from people to prevent their DMs from becoming flooded with opportunities and other requests.

Up until now, LinkedIn has been testing out this option with some selected users in the last month.

According to the professional platform, more than 63 million firms have been actively posting on their Company Pages. This is indicative of the fact that this feature has potential.

Not only is the new messaging tool a great way to engage and connect with customers, but it can help facilitate new kinds of interactions and lead to new opportunities.

LinkedIn has also hinted that it will soon be releasing an AI assistant as well, which is another area where it has been devoting its resources.

The platform believes that an element of AI will be especially helpful in nurturing leads. It will further allow businesses to research a user that they are interacting with without going through their entire profile.
