Google Says Its Search Will Now Be More Snackable, Personal, Visual, And Human

In recent news, Google has announced that its I/O is going to be on Wednesday. At the event, the giant will be demonstrating the new features that have been added in Google Search.

It is also expected that the company will be showcasing and launching its new AI-powered features. According to Google, it will now be making the search engine more snackable, personal, visual, and human.

Another important change in the search engine will be its focus on serving young people across the globe.

Google has further revealed that it is going to be making the shift away from listing ten blue links. These are the listings of ten websites in the search results.

Instead, it will be providing a more human and personal layout, which has an interface designed in a way that it appeals to younger people when they input their searches.

Another feature that the search engine will be adding is that of conversing with it. As of now, it is unclear whether it will be called Magi or be an embed of the Google Bard.

Currently, Google is also working on a new search engine, which is being called Magi. It has assigned a team of over 160 Googlers to work full-time and add new features to the Google Search that already exists.

As per reports released related to the project, Magi is going to be made available to a subset of users in the coming month. It will give searchers the ability to complete various transactions, like booking flights or buying shoes.

Thus, users will be able to carry out successful financial transactions and still view Google search ads. Changes such as these are likely to allow searchers to find answers to questions related to software coding.

The New York Times also reported that the new search engine being developed is going to attempt to anticipate the needs of the users.

While it is currently in the development stage, no timeline has been specified for the release of the new search engine. However, this is a demonstration of Google’s ambitions to change search experience.

As of now, Google is also planning to emphasize responses to queries, which cannot be easily answered by web results.

For this reason, searchers may be required to answer various follow-up questions or even swipe through various visuals as a response to their queries. Visuals could be added from TikTok too.

The decision to include these was made after Google tested its short videos back in 2020, and then released them later in the year.

Instead of giving traditional blue link searches, the company may even display online posts on different forums, which could be based on structured data for Q&As.

As a result, searchers will be able to consume limited content, or rather in bite-sized chunks, as per Google.

Through this initiative, the giant is aiming to refine its current definition of authentic and trusted content, especially when a search query has no single answer.
