Google Gets Rid Of Bard Waitlist, Brings In New Features

In recent news, Google has revealed that it will be rolling out a number of updates, which will be incorporated into Bard, its new generative AI tool. It is currently in its experimental phase.

The additional features added by the tech company will include coding features, app integration, and image capabilities.

Moreover, Google will be getting rid of the waitlist for its AI tool and has announced that it will soon be expanding the access offered for Bard.

Now, people in over 180 territories and countries will be able to use the experimental AI tool.

In lieu of its global expansion plans, Bard is also going to support Korean and Japanese. It has also set plans in motion to incorporate more than 40 languages in the near future.

Bard’s Journey Up Till Now

Bard was launched more than a month ago and was initially only made available in the UK and the US.

This AI generative tool allows users to connect with a number of imaginative and creative applications. Ever since it was released, Google has made sure to quickly adapt to user feedback.

In addition, the tech giant has been routinely trying to improve user experience, before it releases the tool in around 180 countries.

As of now, Google has made several changes to the tool and upgraded it to PaLM 2. This is a large and more capable language model, which facilitates additional improvements.

These advancements include coding, reasoning, and expert math capabilities.

Image Capabilities To Be Incorporated

Soon enough, Bard will be used to incorporate advanced image capabilities. Thus, users will be able to make queries related to notable sights to see in a city.

Consequently, the AI tool will be providing not only rich visuals but text-based responses as well.

The tech giant has further revealed that it will be integrating the advanced capabilities of Google Lens into the generative AI tool, which will allow people to upload images. As a result, their prompts will be supported by text, as well as visuals.

For example, if a person is looking for a caption for their two cats, they can simply upload a picture. Then, they can prompt Bard to come up with a few words.

The tool will analyze the supporting image to find out what the breeds of the cats are and help draft a creative caption in a matter of seconds.

New Enhancements For Enthusiastic Developers

Google is also going to be making a couple of important upgrades to Bard, which is a direct result of feedback received from various developers.

This will include a more accurate source citation, an export button, along with a brand new dark theme.

The export button will be used to expand on its already existing, popular feature, which gives users the chance to export code. They can also run it with Replit, which is a partner of the giant.

In addition, two new export actions will also be added, which will make it easier for users to move responses from Bard to Docs and Gmail.
